T. Arch Robertson, DVM
T. Arch Robertson, DVM, is the lead ultrasonographer and founder of VETMED. Dr. Robertson began performing ultrasounds on dogs and cats in the 1980s at a time when ultrasound technology was virtually non-existent in private veterinary practices. At that time, most veterinary schools did not even offer ultrasound and there were minimal publications written on the subject.

He quickly realized the non-invasive nature of this technology and began began offering his services to other veterinary practices. Dr. Robertson became the first veterinarian to offer mobile ultrasound services in Arizona. After a decade of pioneering work in this burgeoning field, he founded VETMED in 1995.
Dr. Robertson earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University Veterinary School in 1983. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University in 1978. He is a member of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
The Phoenix Zoo, World Wildlife Zoo and Southwest Wildlife, as well as numerous rescue organizations, are the grateful recipients of Dr. Robertson’s philanthropy as he has generously donated his time performing ultrasound for these organizations.
Dr. Robertson enjoys hiking, biking, tennis and playing ball with his Lab, Clifford. He is the devoted father of Kimberly, Greg and Cole.
